A sunny day, a red ball, and one very happy dog — Tom and Lily spend the day at the park. · Level A1 · about 2 minutes
The whole story read aloud by a real voice.
It is a warm, sunny day in Chicago. Tom and Lily go to the park near their home. Their little dog, Bella, goes with them. Bella is small, white, and very happy. She loves the park.
Tom has a big red ball. He throws the ball across the grass. Bella runs very fast and catches it. She brings the ball back to Tom. Lily laughs and claps her hands. “Good dog, Bella!” she says. They play with the ball for a long time.
Now Tom and Lily are hungry. They sit under a big tree and open their bag. They eat cheese sandwiches and drink cold water. Bella sits next to them. She is hungry too, so Tom gives her a small dog treat.
After lunch, they walk slowly around the park. They see white ducks in the water. They see small birds in the green trees. The sun is warm, and the sky is blue. It is a beautiful day.
Then Lily buys ice cream from a man in the park. Tom eats chocolate ice cream, and Lily eats vanilla ice cream. Bella watches them and wags her tail. Lily laughs. “No ice cream for dogs, Bella!”
In the evening, the three friends walk home. Tom is tired, and Lily is tired too. Bella sleeps in the car on the way home. It is a happy day at the park for everyone.
