Step 58: Just As Good
Comparisons plus — As…as, not as…as; so and such
📖 Read — Two Burgers, Two Cars
Tom loves comparing things. “Listen,” he says, “the burgers at Joe's Diner are as good as the famous place downtown — and half the price! Joe's isn't as big as the famous place, but the service is just as friendly.”
His sister is choosing a car. “The blue one is as fast as the red one, but it isn't as expensive. And it uses less gas!” Tom laughs. Friday was such a nice day that they drove to the lake. “The water was so cold that I jumped out in two seconds! But the picnic was so good that we stayed until sunset.”
