60-Second Challenge

One full minute with 10 seconds to prepare. The skill is STRUCTURE: opinion, two reasons, one example, a closing line. This is the shape of interview answers and meeting contributions. · Speak for 60 seconds · 10 seconds to prepare

How it works

  1. Choose a prompt below.
  2. Prepare for 10 seconds — plan ideas, not sentences.
  3. Press Start and speak until the timer ends. Keep going — silence is the only real mistake.
  4. Record yourself (below) so you can assess honestly.

In my opinion, big cities are better for young people, and I'll give you two reasons. First, opportunities: jobs, courses, concerts, people from everywhere — a city throws doors at you, and some of them open. Second, energy. The pace pushes you to grow. On the other hand, I completely understand the small-town side: life is cheaper, quieter, and people actually know your name. Take my cousin — she moved back to her small town and she's visibly calmer, and I won't pretend I don't envy her weekends. So overall, I'd say: city in your twenties, to collect skills, stories, and a thicker skin — and after that, choose with your heart, not with your feed.
