Subject: Joining the Photography Club

Dear Ms. Chen,

My name is Omar Haddad, and I am a second-year student majoring in biology. I saw your poster in the student center, and I would like to join the university Photography Club this semester.

Photography has been my hobby for about three years. I mostly take nature photographs, especially birds, and last year two of my photos were displayed in a small exhibition at my high school. I use a mirrorless camera, and I am also familiar with basic photo-editing software. I would love to learn from more experienced members and share what I know with beginners.

Could you please tell me how I can register as a member? I would also like to know when and where the club usually meets, and whether new members need to bring their own equipment to the first meeting.

Thank you very much. I look forward to your reply.

Best wishes,
Omar Haddad

A full answer must

  • Introduce yourself briefly (name, year, major) in the opening
  • Connect your interest to the club's activities, not just a general hobby
  • Support your experience claim with one concrete detail or example
  • Ask practical joining questions (registration, meeting time, equipment)
  • Keep the tone friendly but organized, with one idea per paragraph
