Repeat Set: Dormitory Rules
A residence hall assistant explains the dormitory rules to students moving in at the start of the year. — hear each sentence, repeat it aloud immediately, then record the full set and compare. Sentences grow longer on purpose.
1. Quiet hours begin at ten each night.
2. Guests must sign in at the front desk.
3. Overnight guests are allowed only on weekends with permission.
4. Cooking is permitted only in the shared kitchen on the first floor.
5. Please keep the hallways clear, because fire rules prohibit storage outside your room.
6. Laundry machines are free, but you should remove your clothes promptly when the cycle ends.
7. If you lock yourself out after midnight, call the resident assistant on duty, who can let you in with a spare key.
Record your answer, play it back, and compare it with the model. Recordings stay in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
Method: one sentence at a time — listen once, repeat from memory (do not read while repeating), then check the text. Only read the sentences before your FIRST listen if you are at Foundation level.
